Last year we were delighted to be able to support a very experienced senior leader from a local school to complete his National Professional Qualification for Headship. Mr Abusef, currently Assistant Headteacher at Falconer School in Bushey, completed the training placement at Bushey Meads School and benefited greatly from working alongside our dedicated Senior Leadership Team during the summer term of 2021, at the same time completing an excellent piece of research work which analysed and reviewed our transition curriculum from Key Stage 2 – 3.
Presenting his in-depth findings to the Senior Leadership Team at the end of his project enabled us to take a fresh look at maximising the support we put in place at Key Stage 3 to ensure that our curriculum provision enables all learners to excel.
Mr Abusef commented
“I would like to thank you and thank all the members of SLT and the rest of the school community who supported me throughout my project at BMS. Their warm welcome and support played an integral part in the success of my NPQH project. The effective leadership skills that I gained during my time at BMS will definitely be of a great benefit in the near future.”
