It was a real privilege to be able to join parents and carers, students from all year groups in the school and a number of staff supporting student performers from their Character Development Groups at this week’s Year 11 devised performance event. Taking place on Wednesday in the school’s Theatre Space, although I was only able to watch the first few performances, the evening was a real showcase for the dramatic talent that our superb drama department so effectively encourages and nurtures at the school.
I would like to congratulate all the students who took part and those who helped make the evening such a success and of course to the hard working staff who have supported the talented script writers and performers to achieve so highly. We wish them all well for their remaining GCSE and A level studies in this core area of our creative curriculum.
