STEM Student Leaders Inspire Year 4 Pupils...

I am delighted to share with you the success of our recent cross-phase STEM project aimed at promoting computing and STEM education across our Trust. On Tuesday, our talented STEM student leaders, Sameer Pabari, a year 7 student and Armaan Samnani,  a year 9 student  joined me in visiting Little Reddings Primary School to lead a coding lesson for the year 4 class.

In this lesson, the pupils were required to use Scratch to program special characters to execute a dance routine. They had to meticulously select the appropriate events and actions as well as incorporate background music. All pupils performed exceptionally well and were proud of their achievements. Sameer and Armaan were overjoyed to run the coding lesson, and the smiles on their faces as they interacted with the pupils were priceless.
The year 4 pupils at LRS were exceptional, showing an excellent attitude and engagement during their interaction with the STEM leaders. We were pleased to witness such enthusiasm and excitement for coding and STEM education during the lesson.
We are already in the process of planning another visit during the summer term to run similar sessions at Bushey Meads school. We are eager to see the energy and excitement that the pupils will bring to the classroom!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Hansard, Mrs. Samuels and Mrs. Aldridge for facilitating this opportunity. And we look forward to further collaboration on the next phase of our STEM project, as we continue to empower our students across the Trust to become innovative thinkers and problem-solvers.

Additionally, I wish the entire community of our staff, students and their parents across the Trust a wonderful and well-deserved Easter break.
