FOOTBALL
Year 11A Boys v RIDGEWAY (County Plate Quarter- Final) AWAY Mr Harris
Date : Tuesday 10th February 2026
Result : Lost 4 – 0
Scorers :
Squad : J Hiett, L Bird, F Fowler, K Gibson, S Ardeleanu, L Avci, H Neal, T Odamtten, M Donnelly, K Banfield, H Wills, N Konopka, J Cunningham
Commended performances :
Comment: A really difficult afternoon against a strong Ridgeway Academy, where we lost the ¼-final of the County Plate competition. In difficult rainy conditions, we struggled to get the ball down and play resulted in us losing this game. We found it difficult to break down the press from Ridgeway throughout the game, and despite J. Hiett playing very well in goal, we ended up coming away having lost 4 – 0
BASKETBALL
Year 10 Boys v Croxley Danes (District League) AWAY Mr Cartledge
Date: Wednesday 4th February 2026
Result: Won 29-13
Scorers : F Gee 14, S McGrath 6, R Hodgson 2, R Doran 2, M Appa 3, K Johnson 2
Squad: R Hodgson, R Doran, F Gee, M Appa, S McGrath, J Woltman, J Oliveira, K Johnson, E Pinto, B Batten
Commended performances : F Gee
Comment : The Year 10 boys were rewarded for their efforts this season with a convincing 29-13 win over Croxley Danes. A much improved zone defence was the difference between the 2 teams with F Gee, R Hodgson and S McGrath dominant in defensive areas. F Gee showed much improved composure under the basket to top score with 14 points. Well done boys on a well deserved team win.
Senior Boys v St Michaels (District League) AWAY Mr Cartledge
Date: Tuesday 10th February 2026
Result: Lost 36-23
Scorers : H Chouhan 17, C Keough 2, S Harries 2, A Yu 2
Squad: Sam Harries (13), Charles Keough (13). Jake Coady (12), Mathew Tregear (12), Kian Pamplona (12), Hamzah Chohan (12), Justin Akuoko (12), Arthur Yu (11), Coach : Sam Fard (13)
Commended performances : H Chohan
Comment : The Senior boys played out a very competitive match with St Michaels before finally going down to defeat. H Chohan was outstanding on offence throughout scoring 17 points. Improved defence was a key factor and with greater composure around the basket the boys can look forward positively to the next fixture.
Year 10 Boys v Rickmansworth (District League) HOME Mr Cartledge
Date: Thursday 12th February 2026
Result: Lost 28-25
Scorers : R Hodgson 12, S McGrath 6, R Doran 3, F Gee 3, M Appa 2,
Squad: R Hodgson, R Doran, F Gee, M Appa, S McGrath, J Woltman, J Oliveira,
Commended performances : R Hodgson
Comment : The Year 10 boys were really unlucky to lose a really closely contested match with Rickmansworth. After leading 8-0 after the 1st quarter a good 2nd quarter by Rickmansworth saw them move into 22-14 lead. The BMS team fought back and despite a strong second half finally went down 28-25. The boys have worked really hard and are very unlucky to have lost games by 4,3 and 2 points.
RUGBY
Year 7 Boys District Development Festival 3 @ Saracens RFC Mr Harris
Date : Mon 9th February 2026
Results: Won 2, Lost 1
Squad :
Commended performances: O Lankshear, J Leung, S Frigot, T Riegal, T Lea-Hagerty, F Neal, N Seeram, S Scott, B. Augustine
Comment : Today’s rugby fixture was an example of some great running play where students were strong in their running and supporting each other. We set the target of the tournament to focus on supporting each other when running with the ball to allow the setup of a ruck quickly and also to provide an offload opportunity for their team mate. In this game this showed as at times we moved the ball well and created space on the wing, allowing strong running to break the line and get score some tries. Defensively we need to continue to focus on making our tackles, in the centre of the pitch we worked well and stopped a lot of attacks coming through with excellent tackling from S. Frigot & O. Lankshear. Overall another positive experience for all involved. Well done!

Year 7 Boys District Development Festival 4 @ Saracens RFC Mr Cartledge
Date : Mon 23rd February 2026
3rd/4th place play-off results: Won 6 tries to 1 v Saracens School
Scorers : O Lankshear 2, S Scott 2, F Neal 1, S Frigot 1
Squad : O Lankshear, J Leung, S Frigot, T Riegal, T Lea-Hagerty, F Neal, N Seeram, S Scott, B. Augustine
Commended performances: Whole team
Comment : Having qualified for the 3rd and 4th place play off after a series of matches in recent weeks, the boys were matched with Saracens Academy School. After a slow start the boys put in a really strong performance and ran out comfortable winners by 6 tries to 1. Special mention for S Scott who was excellent in defence and O Lankshear who showed excellent game understanding. Well done to all the boys and hopefully more will join the squad next year.

GIRLS NETBALL
Year 7 v RMS (District League) Away Mrs Cooper
Date : Monday 9th February 2026
Result : Lost 2-14
Squad : G.Cole, L.Bosawa Bola-Sayo, C.Elliot, A.Karakushi, N.Guyadeene, D.Vinoth, A.Terinte-Olteanua, Y.Loku Galapaththige
Commended performances : D.Vinoth nominated by the opposition.
Comment : A spirited performance from the year 7 team, who due to illness and the school production were missing a few key players. Thanks to those who stepped in at the last minute to ensure the game went ahead.
The girls started promisingly converting some of our initial opportunities and restricting their well drilled opposition at the defensive end.
It was a little difficult for the team to gel but they worked really hard to put in place the skills we’ve been learning at practice evident in the result of a draw in the last quarter. Well done ladies.
Year 8 v RMS (Friendly) Away Mrs Cooper
Date : Monday 9th February 2026
Result : Lost 3-13
Squad : A.Bateman, N.Mowle, V.Delenska, E.Jacks, E.Baines, E.Moore, F.Stevens
Commended performances : V.Delenska nominated by the opposition.
Comment : A tough match for the year 8 team up against strong opposition. The girls worked hard and kept fighting until the final whistle but unfortunately they couldn’t quite convert all of their chances and the RMs team scored with greater frequency. It was however great to see their positive approach and team spirit throughout the game. Well done.
Year 9 (District Tournament) Parmiters Miss Sunpongco
Date : Monday 9th February 2026
Result : 1 Won, 5 Lost. 7th Place in tournament!
Squad : M.Grund, M. Adronicou, A Terinte-O, E. GIllet, Z. Dunlop, D. Vinoth & Y Loku-G.
Commended performances : ALL!
Comment : The afternoon started off well winning the first match getting the girls into the next games with a very positive and competitive mindset. On court, you can see determination to win the ball and get those interceptions. They succeeded many times throughout the next few games turning over the ball and getting in into the attacking third. However, movement on court made it difficult to get the ball in the circle to get our shooters chances of scoring. As the evening went on, more rain poured and the ball became more slippery. Along with the heavy rain, wet court and tougher competition – it became more difficult. However, the girls gave it everything they had and had fun along the way. Well done to all!
