Pop Ups in MFL

It was great to hear from the MFL Team in our ‘Monday Magic Moment’ at the start of the week and hear about how they have adapted hinge point questions in their lessons to be ‘Pop Ups’

The ‘Pop Up’ moments are cleverly used to check for understanding – making sure that all students understand the learning and can move effectively onto the next stage. To make the moments as active as possible the teachers utilise a lot of Think-Pair-Share and mini discussion activities, always encouraging as much use of the target language as they can.
They also use lots of opportunities to actively move around the classroom to get the blood flowing and the brain working as effectively as possible. The staff shared some great ideas which we can all take away and use and adapt in our own classrooms to support great learning and progress.
