Outstanding Year 7 Mathematicians

Outstanding Year 7 Mathematicians
I was very impressed last week with my visit to Miss Visan’s Year 7 Maths class. They were all highly engaged and working very hard to see what was wrong in the questions on their google classroom activity slide via their Chromebooks or on the Interactive Whiteboard at the front of the classroom.
The task made them think and was a really good way to stretch their understanding of common mistakes that can sometimes creep into their work. The students were highly motivated and were demonstrating excellent attitudes to learning and outstanding behaviour for learning.
What was superb is that Miss Visan then encouraged some of the students to ‘be the teacher’ and demonstrate their learning and understanding to help others make great progress.
It was a great lesson to see.
