Bringing History Alive!
Whoever said that history is a dead subject needs to come to Bushey Meads School; it was an absolute joy to enter a number of history lessons this week and see the passion of the superb teachers really engaging the Year 9 students in the hugely relevant topics being studied this term. The students were listening intently and also asking many enquiring questions – showing a keen interest in learning from the past, relating it to present times and perhaps using it to shape their own thoughts and feelings about the future. Who knows perhaps the enthusiasm and passion of the history teachers we have at BMS will inspire the next generation of historians and potential history shapers?
I would like to thank the teachers for their hard work and also congratulate the students for showing such excellent attitudes to learning in the lessons I visited.
