Kidney Disection

Year 11 Biology Class had conducted a perfectly executed kidney dissection!

What a wonderful experience and very impressive that they carried it out with such precision. I would say their techniques were on par with our A’ Level biology students .

The class have just finished learning about

the structure and functioning of the blood’s filtering unit of the body (the kidney). They  learned about homeostasis and the importance of maintaining a constant internal environment and managing salt and water balance -osmoregulation.

I really do hope our budding biologists go on to choose Biology A’ Level next year, some  extraordinarily talented students in this class. Well done!
