Sycamore House – Working Together

Head of House Ms Patel led an inspiring House Assembly for Sycamore House on Tuesday morning of this week. Under the theme of Working Together she provided lots of practical and compelling reasons why it is good to be able to work with others and enlist the true power of teamwork. Teamwork solves complex problems, facilitates the sharing of many ideas and different points of view, creates a sense of motivation and enables new learning and growth – personally and collectively.

Over the last two weeks all students in Sycamore House have been demonstrating excellent working together in vertical Character Development Time activities focussed on raising money for charity. This ties in well with the Foodbank drive that takes place at this time of year when all students are encouraged to bring into school at least one item of food for the local Red Trust Foodbank based on Harcourt Road.
Congratulations goes to all the students in Sycamore House for being the highest House on the graph for best attendance this year. Ms Patel was quite rightly very proud of all the students in her House as we know the positive impact excellent attendance can have on learning and achievement.
Do keep it up!
