Friday CDC Reading
As a school we continue to place a big emphasis on encouraging all students to read regularly and develop a lifelong love of reading and learning. Reading we all know underpins all achievement across every curriculum area and being a good reader helps children achieve well at every level.
On Fridays our CDC reading programme serves to develop and foster the importance of reading and it was a privilege to join with 7 Beech last Friday morning and read a short extract to them and see them listening carefully, following the text with their BMS Bookmarks and discussing the key words and unpicking the context of the passage.
As a Character Development Group, under the oversight of their Character Development Coach Mr Noble-Jackson, they gave a great impression and it made for a very positive start to the day.
