Enrichment Day Number 1
The first of five whole school enrichment days took place on Friday 4th October. The days are designed to enrich the curriculum for students with more in depth looks at subject areas and experiencing things outside the normal lesson setting.
Last week the students took part in the following enrichment activities:
Year 7: Kindness and Respect Day culminating in a celebration assembly where students read out their poems and short stories
Year 8: Mission to Mars; a fun filled day of maths and technology learning with 2 classes also taking part in a workshop on exploitation
Year 9: Visit to Ypres linking to languages and history and a visit to the Natural History Museum linking to geography
Year 10: GCSE subject immersion; a day spent immersed in one of the GCSE subject areas including trips and workshops
Year 11: Careers focus; a visit from external providers for further education including West Herts College and an apprenticeship company
Year 12: Cultural experience with visits to art galleries and museums in London
Year 12: High Education focus; completing university applications and personal statements
