BMS Continues to Support the Children of Our...
Wow!  Another week complete – one that we will never forget as we have all experienced some very unique, challenging and different times.
As a school we have continued to keep providing a safe learning space for the children of our key workers, Year 10 and Year 12 students that wanted to come in and catch up on work.
On behalf of the students and parents, a huge thank you to all the staff (teachers, Learning Support Assistants, admin and site staff), who have come into school to supervise and allowed this provision to be delivered so well.  Another thank you goes out to the staff who so quickly volunteered to come in to support the supervision over the past few weeks.
The regular students that have been coming in have been from different year groups and they have grown into a student family of their own.  We have shaped their days as per their needs and wishes and in true Bushey Meads style, they have conducted themselves really well.  The students have devised a daily plan for everyone to turn to so that there is still structure to their day.  Each day starts with some physical exercise and last Tuesday when I was in, we did the Joe Wicks PE workout. We were excited to send a message to Joe and his team through the chat facility, but when he said they had over 250,000 viewers watching, we realised very quickly that we might not get the Bushey Meads shout out we were hoping for!!  Nevertheless, we had fun doing the workout and trying to get our message to be read out (we actually got an alert message for repeatedly sending it!!). Here are some pictures and a video of the students in action!
Stay safe, stay well and have a great week!
