As part of Mental Health Awareness Week 2022 and to tackle this year’s theme of loneliness, we delivered the first ever BSJT Charity Stand Up Concert in coordination with Mr Gray, Mr Malik and Miss Falusi.
This special charity concert showcased a variety of acts from across the Bushey St James Trust, whilst being punctuated by a collection of students delivering their own articulate speeches on the different areas of Mental Health.
Before the event and during the 15 minute interval, the Bake Sale Team Leaders (Humyuan Cetin, Akshyat Dali, Pavya Baleswaran and Akshithaa Mugunthan) sold baked cakes and cookies to further raise money for Mind.
We raised over £450 in total from the concert and over £250 from the concert’s Bake Sale.
A massive thank you goes to our outstanding teachers for supporting our fundraising efforts: Mr Gray, Mr Malik, Mr Turner and Mr O’Kelly.
I’d also like to say a massive thank you to our fantastic Team Leaders: Pavya Baleswaran, Aarav Parbhoo, Akshithaa Mugunthan, Humyuan Cetin, Akshyat Dali, Andrea Tamang, Vritika Bagariya and Omkar Shah for organising the two Bake Sales and Mind Pin Drive, both present during the Concert. I wouldn’t have been able to deliver any of this to a high standard without all of you.
Finally, I’d like to thank our brilliant performers. Without you, none of this would have been possible.
I’m very happy to announce that across the week, we raised over £800.
