Tunnock Teacake Challenge for Year 10 Food...

There was a lovely competitive spirit in the kitchen this week when Mrs Hanbury’s Year 10 students went head to head in the ‘Food Teacher Centre’ annual Tunnock Teacake challenge!

Students are to produce a plate with a focus on the presentation of a Tunnock’s Teacake.

We will be looking for the most stunning plate created. The theme for the creations is to be “Seasons”.

Entries will be judged for creativity; presentation; skills and adding nutritional balance to the plate by the use of seasonal, locally sourced ingredients relevant to their design.

The top five students were – Rebecca Enevoldson, Matthew Rutter, Sophie Ward, Susan Lysiak and the winner was Emma Smith. Emma’s photo will be the entry for Bushey Meads School. Well done Emma and well done to all of the Year 10 Food Preparation and Nutrition group.
