What a great day the RE department had, as we hosted two RE teachers from Challney High School For Girls.
The RE and RS Student Leaders were exceptional in their communication of how they enjoyed RE and why they had chosen it at either GCSE or A level. Mrs Caroline Massey and Ms Liz Kirby were shown around the school by our Year 13 Student Leader Zarmina Galmne. Then all the student leaders gathered in the humanities/social sciences room at break and the start of Period 3 to talk with the RE teachers about the provision of RE and what they enjoy most about the subject.
The two teachers were able to observe a Year 8 RE class which were being taught on the religion of Hinduism and also seeing a Year 13 Philosophy & Ethics class having revision on Natural Moral Law.
This was a great day for all teachers and students.
