Last week, 40 Year 7 and 8 students visited Sadler’s wells Dance theatre to watch ‘Sampled.’ Sampled is an annual event where dancers from all different backgrounds and cultures perform at the biggest dance theatre in the country. Our students were able to witness dance styles such as contemporary, popping, locking tutting, bharatanatyam and circus performers. We even got the chance to become Dance critics and evaluate the performances. Lana Wurr said “I enjoyed the circus performers especially as it portrayed a comedy story with clear characters and pure talent.” Sharly Harris stated “I had never seen these kind of dance genres before and I was really impressed. I would definitely give the day a 10/10.” We look forward to our next visit to Sadler’s wells.
