I would like to commend all our existing Year 11 students, as well as those who have joined us for the first time as ‘new to school’ students, for the way that they have worked so hard during our hugely successful Bridging Fortnight. It has been so exciting to see the students here in their smart business dress, settling in so well to sixth form life and embracing the next level of study in their educational journeys.

I have also been very proud of the warm welcome that our existing Year 11 students have provided to welcome any ‘new to school’ students to BMS. New friendships have already been made that will no doubt last long beyond life at Bushey Meads School.

One of our new to school student’s parent emailed the school last week to show their appreciation of what we are doing to support all students to make an outstanding start at post 16 from September:

Dear Ms Crayden,

Hope you’re well. Our daughter is very impressed by the school and is very excited that she’s making new friends. Thank you in advance for giving her the opportunity to experience what life is all about in Bushey Meads.  It will definitely help her and all the new students to settle in quite nicely in September rather than stress about their first day.
