Catharine Jessop visits BMS from St....

On Wednesday of last week we were blessed with a visit from Catharine Jessop (More Able coordinator at St. Margaret’s School).  She was interested in learning more about our extensive programme of ‘stretch and challenge’ so that she could take back any ideas that grabbed her attention to share with her colleagues.

Andrea Tamang and Kavya Mehta (yr 10)  hosted a meeting with Catharine, describing some of the programmes we have on offer here at BMS both within and outside of curriculum time.  They talked about our themes of CURIOSITY, GET GRITTY and BECOMING AN EXPERT.  They also gave spectacular responses to many of the questions that were asked about their involvement in the programmes including last year’s Mock Trial competition, and the benefits they had gained as a result of taking part.
Following the meeting, Catharine was treated to a tour of the school by Kavya and Andrea where she saw copious enriching wall displays in classrooms and an abundance of engaging lessons.
On her departure she wrote the following comment in our visitors book: “I learned lots about the excellent MAT programme and a had a great tour from two fantastic year 10s – thanks!”
