Miss Smith went through some of the myths associated with Oxbridge, such as it is only for the privileged, it is not for students from comprehensive schools and it costs more money. She also shared some anecdotes of her time studying at Cambridge. Her session made it clear that whilst Oxbridge is not for everyone, it is certainly something that students should consider.
Although applying to university seems a long way away to our year 11s, we are always seeking to raise aspirations and help them to see the many different doors and opportunities open to them.
