As one of the key leaders within the Learning Support Faculty, Learning Support Coordinator Miss Burton led an informative Friday Faculty Foci about ensuring that all classrooms across our learning community are student centred. Reminding us of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, she provided us with some great tips for ensuring that all students (especially those with levels of anxiety) are well cared for within our busy school and are able to fully access the learning throughout their time at BMS. With clear personalised success criteria and well crafted differentiated activities, the expectation is that all learners can achieve at least one key thing each and every lesson, over time making great progress.
