Willow House Assembly
On Wednesday of this week Head of House Miss Denton led a really informative House Assembly for all students in Willow House focussed on the benefits of working together.
She reminded students that working together can be fun, can develop your confidence and can increase that sense of belonging – all things that she has seen first hand during this fortnight of Vertical Character Development Time over the last two weeks. During this fortnight students have been working together to consider different ways to raise money for charity and it has been great to see so many different relationships developing across all ages of the students in the House as they have worked effectively together on this theme.
She related working together to the 3Rs at the core of our school – Respect, Responsibility and Relationships and emphasised the important attributes of listening, taking ownership and collaboration
After praising the students in the House who have achieved 100% attendance and rewarding those who have had a very high attitude to learning, she ended the assembly by asking the students to read a very apt quote: “Whatever we accomplish belongs to our entire group, a tribute to our combined effort.”
It was a very positive start to the day.
