Oak House Assembly
It was a privilege to join Miss Sumpter as the Head of Oak House and all the students in her House for the Oak House Assembly at the start of this week.  At the start of the assembly all students held a 1-minute silence in honour of Zach Barnes who would have been a member of the 9 Oak Character Development Group and who sadly passed away just over a year ago. All students showed great respect and our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Barnes family.
Miss Sumpter talked about the Theme of the Week Relationships and gave some excellent advice about how to build really positive relationships online; thinking carefully about what you post and always ensuring you take the time to work things through with others rather than just block other people which might offend them.
She also introduced Aryan in Year 13 who has been appointed as the Student Head of House for Oak House. He spoke confidently and eloquently about his role and encouraged everyone in Oak House to get involved in the upcoming House Arts Competition – some big prizes are up for grabs and the chance to go on an inspiring trip to see the theatre production of Hamilton!
