Welcome back to a brand-new school year! I hope everyone had a fantastic summer and is feeling refreshed, ready and excited for everything the year ahead has to offer.
One of the things that makes our school community so special is our House System. Being part of a house is about much more than simply having a name and colour — it’s about belonging to a team, supporting one another and getting involved in school life.
Throughout the year, there will be lots of opportunities to earn valuable house points. Whether you are taking part in a competition, showing fantastic effort, demonstrating kindness, getting involved in an activity or representing your house, every point counts. You never know when that one extra point could make the difference!
The Heads of House have an exciting programme of events planned for the year, including House Arts, the Year 7 Christmas Party, quizzes, rewards trips and plenty more. These events are a brilliant opportunity to get involved, meet people from across your house and, of course, help your house climb the leaderboard!
And I should probably warn you now… I am extremely competitive! 😄
I want to see everyone getting involved, supporting their house and doing everything they can to collect those points. The House Cup is there to be won — and I have made my intentions very clear:
🏆 The House Cup is coming home to Ash House this year!
But we won’t win it by sitting on the sidelines. We need everyone playing their part, getting involved and giving their best throughout the year.
So, Ash House — are you ready?
Let’s make this our year. Let’s get involved. Let’s earn those points. And let’s bring home the House Cup!
Good luck to all the houses… you’re going to need it! 😉
