Strengthening the BMS Community
I would like to thank all our inspiring Heads of House for all the work they do to strengthen that sense of community within our school.
Each of the seven Houses at BMS encourages that strong sense of belonging across all year groups in the school and fosters that healthy rivalry between the Houses. House Assemblies throughout the year celebrate the House family and remind the students in each House of the values that we hold dear at BMS.
This week the students have been in mixed-age CDC groups across Key Stage 3 and have been provided with another opportunity to get to know one another in their House setting. Under the theme of Community, they have been coming up with great ideas to reflect their House on a House pillar in the School Restaurant and perhaps even redesign their House shield.
On Monday it was a privilege to watch a joint Ash and Beech House Assembly led by Mrs Hughes and Miss Kent – again promoting community and sharing values that unite us within and across the school.
