Mark your calendars: Exciting events ahead!

 

A time filled with gift giving, merry and festivity… We gladly like to inform you of an exciting approach to the Christmas Entertainment! Within the course of September 23rd to 25th, the audition process took place. Many students contribute to this event and it becomes a work in progress. We hope to see you there!

 

Intriguing speculations and rumours occurring about an upcoming House Arts competition! Prizes and participation rewards are received by creative students, centralising the subject of POSITIVITY! We look forward to many artistic pieces being submitted from photography to dancing. We call out to those who have excellent and imaginative talent to contribute to this thrilling event.

 

Settling in evening from a sixth former’s perspective

 

On Tuesday 30 October, our Year 12 students and their guardians were all invited to a meeting to welcome them to sixth form and discuss any new events that will happen over the duration of the 2 years. Ms Silla, Ms Goldstone and Ms Ash all provided an interesting and informative explanation of the recent support systems that the school has implemented for the academic progress of sixth form students. Staff members have also further elaborated on the importance of the wellbeing for the students and encouraged parents to help out the year 12’s throughout their journey into sixth form.

 

Ambitious Doctors and Dentists incoming…

 

Last weekend, our aspiring doctors and dentists swapped scrubs for screens as they joined an inspiring, interactive Zoom event all about pursuing careers in medicine and dentistry. The session offered an engaging mix of advice, real-life insights, and opportunities for students to ask their burning questions during a lively Q&A. To keep everyone on their toes, the hosts added a fun quiz element that brought plenty of laughs and friendly competition. By the end, students walked away feeling motivated, more confident about their futures, and with a shiny new addition to their CVs.

 

Be a buddy, not a bully!

 

The theme of the week was Anti-Bullying. We encouraged students to have honest, open conversations about bullying and the relationships within their lives. As a school community, we want everyone to know that if you ever deal with bullying or relationship issues between friends or family, you’re not alone and we are here to help!

 

Birthday wishes for the heart of Bushey Meads

 

A wonderful celebration was held this Wednesday for our Executive Principal, Mr. Turner, for his birthday! Members of the Sixth Form team alongside Prefects worked together to decorate the Sixth Form and make the day extra special. The celebration was a memorable and joyous occasion to celebrate Mr. Turner’s leadership and dedication to the school community.
