Sixth Form Raising Achievement
On Tuesday Ms Silla, Assistant Headteacher, gathered Year 13 students in the Sixth Form Study Centre for an important assembly focused on raising achievement.
The assembly was to focus the minds of each students to ensure they are doing all they can in the next few months to achieve or even exceed their calculated target grades.
Ms Silla gave the students some top tips to help them, including:
  • Speak to their subject teachers about attending Year 12 lessons to revise content of Year 12 work wherever possible
  • Complete regular practise exam question papers
  • Achieve an AtL score of 4 in each subject
  • Achieve at least 95% attendance
  • Use a least an additional 2 hours after school to revise content each day
  • Use study periods wisely
With only 120 school days left until their final exams, it is crucial that the students act now to ensure they fulfil their potential.
A well timed and inspirational assembly!
