Victoria left Bushey Meads Sixth Form in 2019 and continued her studies at Nottingham University reading History. It was so nice to hear about her journey from school to University and her constant drive to succeed. Victoria spoke about the importance of getting involved and giving things a try, about not worrying if at first there isn’t success and growing each day through your experiences.

Victoria is now working for the Department of Transport in Westminster, as she said herself, not the usual step from a History degree, but one she wanted and is excited to be part of now. Working specifically within the Office of Zero Emissions, I am sure Victoria’s working day is as interesting as it is busy.

It was such a delight to be able to welcome back one of our BMS Alumni to not only speak to our students, parents and carers, but to act as a role model for so many of our students. It certainly is no coincidence that some of our older students, including Our Head Girl Andrea, remembered Victoria in school and her outstanding presence on the student council in years gone by.

I am excited about being able to invite more of our vibrant alumni back into school, helping to enrich and inform the students of today. Thank you Victoria and we wish you continued success in driving the vitally important climate agenda forward, I hope we can look forward to welcoming you back in again some time soon.
