It was a privilege to join Willow House for their final inspiring assembly of the term led by Head of House Mr Booth. The theme was Confidence and Mr Booth provided loads of examples and tips for how we can all develop our confidence, step out of our comfort zones to achieve even more and become even better versions of ourselves.
He explained that there is a strong link between being organised and hard working, and achieving and this always builds confidence in us to do things – even beyond our expectations. He also spoke about the power of words and how, when we encourage one another, we can also build confidence in others around us. It was an inspiring end to the term for Willow House and everyone was provided with lots to think about over the Christmas holidays as we look forward to an even brighter future in 2022. HIs final media clip of Emma Raducanu winning the US Open reminded us of what can be achieved, even by someone so young.
I would like to thank Mr Booth for his excellent leadership of Willow House and his major contribution to the House System at Bushey Meads School, perhaps epitomised by his full involvement in the Year 7 House Christmas Party last week – it was impressive!
