Debating Challenge

This house believes that drug use should be treated as a mental health issue rather than a criminal offence.

The Final Verdict:

Through all of these strong arguments made by the members of our school community, you can clearly see that the outcome is torn. The general consensus, as we can see is that most believe that it is interlinked and that both mental health and drug use are variants of one another, however to counter this there are also some very interesting points being made, especially from year 7 students, as to why the problem of drug use is simply a criminal offence and nothing more. It was a very complex topic and it is really great to try and understand the rationale behind these debates.

A huge thank you to everyone that took part in this challenge!
