During Maths lessons, students have been given the opportunity to explore their creativity and develop a sense of calmness through mindful colouring. Teachers have introduced this at certain parts of the lesson, sometimes complimenting it with relaxation music.
Students showed great participation in this, embracing the opportunity for some time to reflect and peacefully work on their drawings. Many of these have mathematical significance, present in motifs and architectural designs.
It is hoped that these periods of quiet time will enable all students to develop strategies to calm the mind when needed. Periods of calmness can also have a rejuvenating effect and can improve student productivity in their work.
Here are some of the wonderful examples done in class.
