BMS Opens it’s doors For Catch-Up...

It has been so great to welcome back to Bushey Meads School a small but significant number of dedicated Year 10 and 12 students who have taken up the offer of working in a well resourced and supervised environment (in LRC1, LRC3 or the Sixth Form Study Centre) to ensure that they are fully up to date with all the online learning set since March 20th 2020 in this period of ‘lockdown’. They have joined with our children of key workers (including Thomas in Year 7 pictured here in LRC2 working through his online learning set on google classrooms) and have really enjoyed being back in school.

With access to fast broadband and high tech chromebooks – all cleaned and ready for individuals to use, they adjusted well to sitting at individual desks, ensuring physical distancing throughout the day. Many of them are extremely grateful for the opportunity provided by their teachers and learning assistants as they prepare to return with the rest of their year groups on Monday 15th June for Year 12 and Monday 22nd June for Year 10. They have also so enjoyed seeing their teachers and of course their peers, experiencing some ‘normality’ of school in these unusual times.

If you are behind with your work and want to join them next week do email Pastoral Manager Mrs Blowers blowersh@busheymeads.org.uk or Associate Leader and Head of Sixth Form Mr O’Kelly okellym@busheymeads.org.uk to let them know you intend to come in.
