Developments to our school site continue to take place as we seek to constantly improve the learning environment here at Bushey Meads. At the recent Student Parliament Meeting the Restaurant Extension was discussed and the students requested heating in that busy area of the school which we are delighted to say has now been installed.
Although this has cost several thousand pounds, we know that it will significantly improve facilities for the students and also create the possibility of this large space becoming more of a multipurpose teaching and private study area in the coming months – maximising the capacity we have for supporting students at break, lunch and also during independent learning times. Newly installed lights under the bag rack covered area have made it easier for students to store and find their belongings and have also made the entrance to the School Restaurant during evening events much more welcoming – especially on those darker evenings. New signage for our superb Bushey St James Trust Art Gallery has highlighted this valuable resource.Further investment has been made in the infrastructure at Bushey Meads and, although it has taken a little while to save up the money to purchase the state of the art equipment, we now proudly boast a multi gym at Bushey Meads. Named Body Mind and Soul the multi gym will be available to all students under the careful supervision of their PE and Health Teachers and is another huge benefit to being a student at Bushey Meads. Students must remember that the multi gym is completely out of bounds at all other times without the express permission of the teacher who must accompany them to use this outstanding resource.
In terms of health and safety we also now have an additional defibrillator
We encourage our students to make the most of our extensive grounds and enjoy the fresh air at break and lunchtime. A lovely place to sit in is our new picnic area outside our...
