On Friday 9th July, Year 10 Princes Trust, Arts Award and Work Related went on a trip to Aldenham Country Park. The trip involved a number of activities that contributed towards the students’ courses. We began exploring the country park with a 2 mile walk around the lake and the students paired up to litter pick.
Mrs Ellicott joined us on the trip and shared her knowledge of the history and conservation projects that have happened in Aldenham Country Park.
On the walk, as part of the Arts Award, Miss Smart asked the students to use their photography skills to capture some nature photographs of the surroundings. Here are some lovely photographs by Lacey Hope and Alex Green.
After we had a well deserved break and grabbed some ice creams in the sun, we ventured out over the 100 Acre Woods. The students set up a game of rounders for the Prince’s Trust ‘Participating in Exercise’ unit, which they all thoroughly enjoyed.
Alex Green ‘To be honest, I really enjoyed the trip, especially taking part in rounders with my class. I hope we do joint trips in year 11’
