Getting Ready for the New Normal!
I would like to thank all the key leaders at Bushey Meads School for their hard work over many weeks to ensure that the school is ready to safely welcome staff and students back to our vibrant learning environment. The detailed Covid-19 Risk Assessment accessed here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Yms-0nXUt0CXaEynA68uU9LqpE9-JxEB outlines the many and various measures that have been put in place to ensure full compliance with all the government and Department for Education legislation and health and safety guidelines, but the following images also show a few of the practical measure that have been put in place.
Clear Covid-19 notices placed at the main entrance to the school, along with an easily available hand sanitiser station (duplicated at regular intervals throughout our main corridors), clear masking tape to maintain the 2 metre distancing, plastic protective screens and more hand sanitiser, gloves and wipes on reception support the safe welcome to the school and remind all staff and visitors of the expectations for safe conduct on the school site
Classrooms have all been deep cleaned, stocked with hand sanitiser and wipes and carefully set up for 2 metre physical distancing.
Key areas including our corridors remind students as usual to walk on the left and toilets limit the number of students at any one time.
Doors are propped open wherever possible to minimise hand contact and tape on the floors remind students to physically distance.
Important study areas, including the SIxth Form Silent Study Rooms have all been reorganised to accommodate students working safely under the new guidelines.
We are ready for the students to return but will constantly and regularly review our school site and all the necessary protocols to ensure the absolute safety of all students and staff at all times.
