Blended Marking

Our week started with a great ‘Monday Magic Moment’ in Staff Briefing delivered by Mrs Davey, one of our talented Advanced Lead Teachers. Coinciding with our third and final Marking and Feedback Fortnight of the year, she was highlighting the concept of ‘blended marking’ and encouraged us to build on some of the smart ways that staff have developed in their different approaches to marking and providing feedback this year, as we have all had to get to grips with remote, online learning.

As parents and carers do continue to play your part by ensuring that your children have a purple pen to re-draft their work with. Do also look at their exercise books and folders to ensure that all worksheets and assessments are stuck in neatly, all titles underlined and all feedback targets and questions responded to. Their proactive responses to clear teacher feedback is guaranteed to significantly improve their progress.
