On Monday we were pleased to be able to show the first game of England’s 2022 World Cup campaign Vs Iran. Students and staff were really excited for the event and the students were eager to take their seats before Kick off after all having lunch together in the restaurant. The ticketed event was a sell out with over £400 being raised for charity.
England had an impressive start to the campaign with the final result ending 6-2 to England – which gave the students lots to cheer and celebrate during the match.
Behaviour from all involved was exemplary, and I am sure this event will be one that the students remember for a long time to come. Hopefully we will be as proud of our National football team as we are of the students who took part.
