Splendid Sycamore House

Being the Head of Sycamore House this year has been a delight. I have been so pleased to see members of sycamore house working diligently in lessons and hear about many of their successes in various areas of school life.

Sycamore House assemblies are always memorable and I intend to keep it that way. The positive response to them is always gratifying. We’ve had guest speakers such as Mo Farah and William Roache (Ken Barlow from Corrie) so far this year. Don’t worry – I’m waiting for Jennifer Lopez to call me back.

One notable example of success was the House Quiz. Sycamore remained strong contenders throughout, being represented by Tom (10s) and Mihir (12s) finishing up in 2nd place. As the quote goes ‘2nd place is not defeat. It is a stimulation to get better. It makes you even more determined’.

House netball year 8 champions went to Sycamore House. Congratulations to those involved.
Sycamore Successes! – This term students have outdone themselves. Plentiful rewards points for a vast array of reasons, modelling the school’s keys to success. Without further ado, let’s name a few. Emilia (7s), Annabel (8s), Luxman (9s), Sam (10s), Lana (10s), Edward (13s). Well done for all your efforts and hard work!
Let’s keep the momentum going!
