Getting To Know Your House
It’s an exciting time for the character development programme here at Bushey Meads School, coming soon is a vertical groups, meaning that students will be able to mix with those in different year. But don’t worry this isn’t for ever, just for the next House theme week to be held week beginning 29th April and to run through to Friday 10th May. An exciting and enriching experience that will enable our student body to further our schools ethos of ‘a mind to be kind’.
The students will have the opportunity share their stories of moving through school, with the recent selection of options for Y9 and the invaluable experience the older students of Y10 and Y12 have of moving through the GCSE’s, A fantastic chance to share the wealth of knowledge and experiences that are held within the student body. Moreover, the creation of a supportive environment where our students are able to provide tips and hints for being successful students with their House peers, is a opportunity that no student would want to miss out on.
With a range of fun and engaging activities planned by each of the Heads of House they are sure that all students will have a fantastic time. These activities will include getting to know you games, allowing the students to break the ice with their new character development groups peers. Also a focus on positive relationships is planned with additional sessions on the use appropriate of social media and sharing how as a new House character development group they could plan for acts of kindness moving forward.
I am confident that all students will enjoy the experience and I personally am looking forward to the week beginning 29th April for the start of the vertical character development groups.
