Time2Sh9ne Students off to Oxford University
It was great to be able to join the special assembly led by More Able Coordinator Mr Harrop last Wednesday morning and hear about an amazing opportunity being offered to our Time2Sh9ne cohort of students in Year 11. The students, who are all aiming for top Level 8 and 9 grades at GCSE, are being given the opportunity to visit Balliol College via the school’s strong links with the University of Oxford.
Over the past few years a growing number of BMS students have aspired to Oxbridge and other leading universities in the country and have successfully gained prestigious places at these globally renowned institutions. One of them was Amira, one of our previous Head Students, who read English at Oxford and spoke inspiringly at one of our Annual Rewards Evenings held in June each year.
The Time2Sh9ne students have four special Friday morning sessions taking place in the Sixth Form Study Centre led by some of our top teachers, explaining how to get those top marks in their upcoming GCSE examinations.
If your child is in this particular raising achievement cohort do encourage them to get to the Sixth Form Centre by 8.30 am at the latest to make the most of the important sessions.
