In our lesson we looked at the design of unique architecture, for example, the suspension bridge. The shape of the suspension cable will be a parabola, and we will investigate the mathematics behind it. Our goal is to enable all students to contribute to the building and design of the model. We will arrange for STEM & Maths Leaders to visit classes and do presentations on architecture. Each student can contribute a part to the building of the bridge. The picture demonstrates the design process in one of our lessons. We will give further details as the project develops.
