During our February enrichment day, year 8 enjoyed a day full of activity and adventure run by outside providers focusing upon Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
BMS was lucky to be able to host visitors from a variety of industries to run activities. These included SOCO running a forensic scene examination so that a murder could be solved, Rendel teaching engineering skills through spaghetti bridge making and energy workshops. There was also flying cupid balloon rocket launches, a weather challenge and a session on virtual reality technology. Vizion Network delivered a talk about the car industry and Thames Water answered questions about the utility industry.
Across the day, the students enjoyed five very different sessions, developing STEM skills and knowledge.
