After our highly successful annual Open Evening for prospective Year 6 students and their parents, this month and next we will be welcoming many hundreds of visitors on tours to the school during the school day.
Not all schools offer this access during a ‘normal’ school day and it is yet another indication of what a great place Bushey Meads School is. All schools are happy to put on a show on an Open Evening or a special Open Morning but we are happy for visitors to visit on any day and for our own students to show the visitors around any area of the school they wish to go to.
This week we received this email from one such prospective parent who had just visited the school:
Dear Mr Turner,
I would just like to take a moment to say a big thankyou to you and your students who showed us around Bushey Meads today. We were impressed with the tour guide student on the Open Evening, who was very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant to speak with, but today you have outdone yourselves. The Sixth Former who conducted the tour on our visit today was incredibly knowledgeable and answered any question we put to him and both he and the other female student guide made us feel extremely welcome. This wasn’t a chore for them, they seemed genuinely happy to show us round. Please convey our deepest thanks for their attention today.
I must also say that the lady on Reception was equally knowledgeable and pleasant and was more than happy to answer any questions we had. Out of all of the schools we have visited, my son has only really gelled with Bushey Meads, the other schools just don’t have the same feel for him and that is a big thing.
When we came to the Open Evening we were given such a warm greeting. My wife and I and our son are very impressed with Bushey Meads School. The quality of your students speaks volumes and they have truly been your ambassadors. We truly hope that come March next year our son will gain a place at Bushey Meads. Till then, thank you again for such wonderful and informative experiences.
Kind Regards
Year 6 Parent
