Little Shop Of Horrors: Plant Design Competition – The results
I was privileged to be asked to help judge our recent Little Shop Of Horrors plant design competition that Ms Waring, one of art teachers, was running.
There were so many excellent entries and choosing winners was incredibly difficult. Our students deserve so much praise for the work they have put in. Everyone who entered will receive reward points.
The plant designs were judged on how innovative the design was, not on how well it was drawn. The final puppet design may well have features of several entries as we loved the variety of approaches that our students brought to their design work.
Here are the results:
1st place – Mathew Tregear 8A
2nd place – Ella Ramalho 10S
3rd place – Caleb Mallon 12M
Now, turning these designs into fully workable puppets will be a massive challenge for your set and props building teams. I look forward to seeing our talented designers working with the art department to create the puppets required for the show.
Well done everyone!
