Interesting Elm House Assembly
Head of Elm House Mr Cox delivered another thought provoking assembly at the start of the day on Wednesday of this week and covered some important aspects related to the Theme of the Week Communication. He spoke a lot about the things and gave examples of some of the things that perhaps we don’t want to communicate but inadvertently do – through the things that we say without thinking and through our non verbal communication that we sometimes aren’t aware of.
He also reminded students of the need to follow our important Keys to Success – being on time for lessons, having the right equipment that communicates we are eager to learn, respecting the One Voice rule that shows we are respectful to others around us and generally working hard.
Communication is a key part of forming positive relationships, so the important reminders were good to hear.
Deputy Headteacher Mr Beswick is the new Senior Leadership Team link to Elm House and it was great that he was able to introduce himself and hand over to Head of House Mr Cox at the start of the assembly.
