Excellent Engagement in Exciting Lessons
It was impressive to walk through a number of Year 8 lessons on Tuesday of this week and see so many students engaged in a whole variety of exciting activities, listening politely to their teachers and their peers and enjoying the challenges of learning. Students were designing logos for their companies and writing software programmes to create online quizes in Design and Technology lessons. In other D & T lessons they were using computers to lazer cut images to go onto storage boxes they had previously made and were also engaged in industry-standard design processes in textiles lessons.
The rest of the cohort were enjoying a range of physical activities in PE and Health lessons, singing along to pumping music in fitness and aerobics-based lessons and taking part in a variety of basketball challenges in the Sports Hall. In this lesson it was superb to also see older students acting as Sports Leaders, assisting the Learning Assistants and Teachers in the lessons.
