Come Dine With Me Returns to BMS

It was so nice to re-launch our hugely popular annual ‘Come Dine with Me’ event on Wednesday of this week and welcome over 100 parents and carers to Bushey Meads to enjoy a meal together with their children in the School Restaurant and then go on a guided tour to see our school in action on a typical day of learning across all classrooms.

There was a really buzzy atmosphere as proud Year 7 students talked to the parents and carers about their first few weeks in our fabulous learning community. The student guides were also commended for the roles that they played in making the event so successful. Without exception all the visitors loved the chance to be here and were very grateful to all the staff who made the event happen – especially our outstanding, award-winning Chef Manager Alex Barton and his superb team, our Business Manager Miss Coombs and School Events Manager and Assistant to Head of Work Related Learning Ms Jackman.

Not many schools would have the confidence to invite so many visitors onto the school at any one time – particularly during a normal, typical school day. However this event is another indicator of how lovely our school is and how proud we are of all the staff and students who make up our great community here at BMS.

Parents and carers loved the chance to tour the school site, visiting lessons across all faculty areas and the unique opportunity to enjoy a lovely school dinner with their children.
