It was inspiring to join a number of assemblies this week led by members of our dedicated Pastoral Leaders at BMS. With the Theme of the Week being Teamwork it was good to be reminded of the importance of working together and how much can be achieved.
Associate Leader and Head of Sixth Form Mr O’Kelly, reminded the Sixth Form students of the main characteristics of successful teams and provided examples from the world of sport and music, highlighting how an orchestra performing perfectly demonstrates the ‘power of team’.
Assistant Pastoral Manager Mrs Penny reinforced a similar message and related it to how well our Year 7 students are doing at the end of their first very successful term at Bushey Meads. A humorous film clip ended her assembly to demonstrate her main points, making for a positive start to the day on Tuesday of this week.
