The Art Club for students, run by students …
Bushey Meads is not only an excellent school but also a community of students who work together to aid each other through their hobbies and interests. One of the ways in which this has become prominent through the school year is the Art Club, held every Wednesday lunchtime, by Year 12 student Elicia Bryan.
Elicia has created a calm environment in which students of all-year groups come in and enjoy a lunchtime of creativity and innovation. Not only can they gain inspiration from the successful Sixth Form art student, but they can also be able to pursue their hobbies more frequently while being able to use the resources of the art department.
The students who participate in this club create an array of different artworks. Ranging from differing skill levels and interests, these unique and impressive compositions highlight a path for perhaps the soon-to-be new GCSE and A-Level art students of BMS. This club, created by a fellow student, highlights to all students that hobbies and interests should be something which shouldn’t be neglected. Creating this club has further cemented the positive community which Bushey Meads School is, emphasizing this through the unique and talented artworks which are produced when attending this club.
As an art student myself, I am extremely happy to see that there is now a club run by students where creativity flows and inspires the younger peers into a path of practicing your hobbies and interest or even trying something new to express your ideas and talent.
Well Done, Elicia and The Art Club members!
