Smartly Supporting Progress
On Friday morning all Year 11 students attended a very important raising achievement assembly and received Progress Cards clearly indicating their aspirational target grades and current teacher predictions. The cards make it very easy to see where they are at and what needs to be done between now and the GCSE examinations. Across their range of subjects, students could be:
  • already exceeding their aspirational grades and on a journey to further exceed their target grades
  • matching their target grades and confident to exceed them by June of this year with another push on attending revision lessons and completing past papers
  • slightly below their target grades but with the potential to now focus on those key areas that need a bit of a boost in terms of really focused revision and continued hard work in class
In the Going 4 Great lesson in the Learning Resource Centre immediately after the assembly, there was lots of talk about the assembly, discussion about the detail on the Progress Cards and a clear focus on targeting those key subjects to ensure real success in August of this year.
It was powerful to see!
