Junior UK Maths Challenge

Well done to all Year 7 and 8 students who participated in the prestigious UK Maths Junior Challenge that took place on Thursday 26th April 2018.

The challenge is run by the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT), which is a registered charity whose aim is to advance the education of children and young people in Mathematics. The UKMT organises national Mathematics competitions and other Mathematical enrichment activities for 11-18 year old UK school pupils. They were established in 1996 and last year had over 600,000 pupils from 4,000 schools across the country that took part in the UK’s biggest national Maths competition.

The style of questions in the test have been designed to challenge and stretch students’ mathematical thinking and ability and to think out of the box to solve a variety of problems – essential skills for success in all of our STEM subjects and future STEM related careers.
