Humanities Student Leaders Being Creative

In September, Year 8 will study the reign of Queen Elizabeth I in history. Our Year 7 Humanities Student Leaders had a lot of fun this week thinking about how to create a board game about Queen Elizabeth I for Year 8 history lessons. We did some fantastic research into the life events of Elizabeth I including her greatest successes and failures as a monarch.

Interestingly, one of her greatest achievements was religious in nature, establishing protestantism in England. So we are looking forward to making some cross-curricular links between history and religious studies. We divided up roles in terms of making the board game and we plan to have it ready for teachers to use in September.
