An Enriching Curriculum

It has been so wonderful to see the school’s eclectic range of clubs and activities that are offered beyond the usual timetabled lessons begin in earnest over the last few weeks and witness so many students getting involved in the enriching aspects of our diverse curriculum offer at Bushey Meads.

If your child has not yet joined a club or extra curricular activity do encourage them to do so; it is a great way of trying out new things and also making new friends across different year groups. The activities often build confidence and positive relationships beyond their usual friendship groups.

Last week on Thursday it was great to be able to see our Year 10 and Sixth Form football teams play their respective opponents from Immanuel College, taking part with enthusiasm and developing all those important skills and leadership traits of commitment, teamwork, mutual support and encouragement, resilience, hard work and professionalism. One of the pictures is of a well-taken penalty that, at one point in the Sixth Form game, levelled the scores in a keenly contested match. Congratulations to the Year 10 Team for their convincing win!
