Bedrock training session for KS3...

You may recall my article back in November 2021 in which I threw the spotlight on our fantastic learning platform ‘Bedrock vocabulary’ which we use in the English faculty.

Within that article, I made a pledge that a training session aimed at parents/carers would follow in which I would not only explain what the platform was and how it benefits students but also how you could engage with it better at home.

Well, I am very pleased to tell you that the wait is over and on Tuesday 29th March at 4:30 pm, you can join me for an online training session in which I will deliver a presentation outlining all of the things that I previously mentioned.

Hopefully, you will have received a group communication that details the session and contains the web link that you will need in order to access it. Please be aware that this is only aimed at KS3 parents/carers (years 7-9).

During the session, I will be covering the following agenda:

  • Introducing what ‘Bedrock’ is and how/why we use it at Bushey Meads.
  • Explaining how parents/carers can engage with the platform at home.
  • Aiming to boost home engagement with the application amongst our KS3 students.
  • Continuing to improve vocabulary and ultimately raise student achievement.

I very much hope that you will join me and I look forward to seeing you there.
